The Pennsylvania School Bus Association (PSBA) operates under the leadership and governance of its Board of Directors, which is responsible for managing the property, affairs, and overall direction of the organization. The Board is composed of dedicated individuals who are Regular Members of the Association and remain in good standing. Their collective expertise, leadership, and commitment to student transportation safety play a crucial role in guiding the Association’s initiatives, policies, and strategic vision.
The Board of Directors is elected by the membership and consists of 23 individuals who represent a diverse cross-section of the school transportation industry. The structure of the Board includes 20 District Directors and 3 At-Large Directors. To ensure fair and equitable representation, the state is divided into four geographic Districts, with each District electing four Directors. These District Directors serve two-year terms, bringing their regional perspectives and expertise to the decision-making process.
In addition to the District Directors, the Board includes three At-Large Directors who are elected to provide balanced representation of the Association’s entire membership. These At-Large Directors also serve two-year terms and contribute to the leadership and governance of the organization by ensuring that the interests of all members, regardless of geographic location, are represented.
The Board of Directors convenes on a quarterly basis to discuss and address key issues related to school transportation safety, legislative advocacy, industry advancements, and member services. During these meetings, Board members collaborate to develop strategies, set goals, and implement initiatives that align with PSBA’s mission and objectives. Their commitment to excellence and leadership ensures that the Association continues to be a strong advocate for the school transportation industry while promoting the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
