2026 Safety Competition
The Pennsylvania School Bus Association under the direction of Safety Competition Chairman, Dallas Krapf, will be hosting next year’s statewide Safety Competition for school bus drivers from June 19 - 20, 2026 in Bellefonte, PA!
School bus drivers from both independent contractors and public schools will compete for the Pennsylvania State Title of SCHOOL BUS DRIVING CHAMPION for the year. The competition is comprised of a written test (proctored by PennDOT), and a driving and safety skills course. Our Mission of Safely Transporting Pennsylvania’s Future is supported by our key initiatives of Safety, Education and Advocacy.

Participating in the Pennsylvania School Bus Driver Safety Competition is an incredible opportunity for drivers to showcase their professionalism, skill, and commitment to safety. This annual event highlights the essential role school bus drivers play in protecting Pennsylvania’s students while celebrating the expertise that comes from dedication and experience behind the wheel. By competing, drivers not only demonstrate their mastery of safety procedures, vehicle operation, and student management, but also set an example of excellence for peers across the Commonwealth. The competition fosters camaraderie, pride, and continuous improvement—reminding everyone that safe student transportation begins with skilled, confident, and highly trained drivers. We want to thank all of the 2025 participants and we look forward to seeing you all next year!
